Citizens, No Longer Strangers and Foreigners

A second federal judge in California has blocked the Trump administration from adding a citizenship question to the 2020 Census that asks, “Is this person a citizen of the United States”. The judge said the question, “Threatens the very fabric of our democratic system”.

Have you ever noticed that entry into heaven requires two things?
1. Citizenship
2. To change and conform to the new land, to be no more strangers.

“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God” (Ephesians 3:19)

“For our conversation (Citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” (Philippians 3:20-21)

And as a child of God, we are to obey the laws of the land.

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” (Romans 13:1-2)

In fact, the Apostle Paul instructs us that our manner of life as a citizen should be becoming that of the word of God! It is our duty to act as a Christian!

“Only let your conversation (Citizenship) be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel” (Philippians 1:27)

Citizenship, conformity to that new nation, to be no longer strangers and foreigners, to abide by that country’s rules and to live as a Christian in the word of God. This is the will and wish of God.

And oh, by the way, Heaven is surrounded by a wall. Not everyone is allowed in.
