Wisdom and Understanding

“Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?” (Job 38: 36)

We assume so much that oftentimes we overlook the simple fact that God is the essential cause of everything. Even man’s wisdom and understanding are a creation of God. Think about that the next time you’re trying to figure out how God doesn’t exist. Your thoughts wouldn’t exist without Him.

God gave us intellect, logic and reasoning. In fact, God encourages the use of these gifts and wants us to share them with Him!

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 1:16)

The first five words of the Bible say it all.

“In the beginning, God created…..”

You can complete the sentence with everything, anything. Literally!
