Teach In The Way

“What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.”

(Psalm 25:12)

God will teach His children in the way He so chooses. Is this so bad? Not at all, for what does God choose, but righteousness! Man left to his own devices will spiral down to the baser things. What is man? Just look at him without God.

“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5)

Do not think you have “free” will. Man is filled with original sin which blinds and deafens him to righteousness. Man can’t choose what he does not see.

“O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” (Jeremiah 10:23).

God is teaching us in the way. We are in darkness and don’t even know it. But, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105). When we stumble and fall, and we will, we have a Savior who has paid the price for that fall, and every fall. Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the light.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
