A Multiethnic Commercial
According to the Huffington Post, Ancestry.com has just released a commercial called, "Declaration Descendants" (See video below). Although I appreciate that the "new powerful and inclusive ad for Ancestry.com" left in, “that they are endowed by their Creator”, I was not pleased that they skipped over and omitted, “with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence” in this mega-condensed version of the Declaration of Independence.
And by the way, the purpose of the US was not multiculturalism. This is the effect of a country founded by our Creator and guided by Divine Providence.
I find it interesting that in the article it talks about how much America has “changed”. The Huffington Post fails to recognize the words of our founding fathers from the Declaration of Independence in which this ad was built upon, that these words are the original intent, idea and purpose of America. America didn’t change. Americans have. But the basic idea, precept and principles of this country were spelled out and "Declared" well over 200 years ago.
