Separation Of Church And State

Separation of church and state is impossible for a Christian. In fact, separation of church and anything is impossible.

Being a Christian means to be Christ like. It is not what we do, it is who we are and strive so hard to be like. It is our nature and essence. It is our existence.

Being a Christian and following the way, the truth and the life of Jesus Christ is not something you switch on and off. It is not like an overcoat you wear only in the winter and take of when you come inside.

You wouldn’t require a duck to bark or a cat to moo, so why are you expecting a Christian to act or do anything other than as a child of God and follower of Christ? Why would you expect a Christian to act in any other fashion than what is prescribed in the Bible? It’s who we are.

Admittedly, some have confused Christianity with their religion or as nothing more than being a good person or doing a good deed. Hopefully deeds are the effect of the cause, the cause being Christ. As a Christian, good deeds are the expression of God’s love IF they are the manifestation of Christ within. If not, then a good deed is just that, and only that, a good deed. The devil does these types of good deeds every day.

So don’t be surprised when a Christian acts like it. Actually, the opposite should hold true. You should be surprised when a confessed Christian doesn’t act like.
